Week Two!

Week two of trying to get footage from an HVX onto a Mac. It's been ever so much fun.

The last in a long series of problems is that when I try to use P2CMS it claims that although I'm uploading 16GB of data to a Mac with 40GB of free disk space, that the target disk doesn't have enough space.

Do I really think I'll ever be able to get footage from an HVX to a Mac? No. But it keeps me away from doing more useful things.

Er- that's not enough working hard drive space. I'd suggest freeing up a lot more or doing the transfer and the work to an external HD. These days 1TB can be had for $100 so there's no excuse to have so little hard drive space.

Most computers require at least 10% of the hard drives to be available for running the operating system. Even that's not as conservative as i am. I only edit off of external drives. Like what NoahK said...go invest in a good external HD. Will save you so many headaches and keep your actual editing machine clean and fast.
