"Weeds" chromatic aberration

I have been watching the show "Weeds" on Netflix and really enjoying it...but I was wondering if anyone else noticed heavy amounts of chromatic aberration, green/purple fringing, in like...every shot (more noticeable in some then others.) Anyone notice that? Anyway that it's a glitch with netflix instant watch (I kind of doubt it.) Anyone know what the artistic purpose is?

ok not Weeds but I saw Karate Kid yesterday and there was some purple fringing ...in the hall right after Dre sees the snake lady. It's bright there.
Didn't bother me much but I never noticed this before. Its gigantic screen from a new theatre here ... shots that were offcocus were noticeble for example the tracking shot of the chinese wall and some other dolly/crane shots ....it didnt bother anybody .

Artistic purpose of CA? It was an F23 show in Season 5.

I've noticed it throughout the series.

Well yeah, I am assuming it has some sort of artistic purpose if it's actually there and not just a fluke of netflix...I mean on a show like that they would not have it by accident. Maybe not the CA itself but maybe it's a side effect of a lens they're using for a purpose?

Ben...maybe just let it go? Technical flaws in network shows are nothing new. It seems to happen, and we're not sure why, but with the seemingly rediculous budgets these shows operate with, it's hard to believe these obvious quirks get through. but they do. Enjoy the show...or don't.

Yeah, or maybe just enjoy Mary Louise Parker. I just wish all the women in the world exactly twice my age looked like her...

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the show! And the CA didn't at all dampen my enjoyment! I was just wondering if anyone knew what the deal was...since it's basically in every episode I wonder if it was intentional, or a side effect of a lens they used to to achieve a specific look despite the CA. I enjoyed the show so much I want to know more about the production but can't seem to find too much info on it, specifically this. If the DP was at a Q and A I would ask if they noticed this and if it was intentional...not to call them out for having an image defect, but because I am actually interested.
