wedding in HD?

hello.

Are you using the HVX for weddings? are people really asking for HD in weddings? Can they afford it? how do you deliver the product? What percentage of your clients are asking for HD? is it worthy the investment if I'm doing weddings?

I was wondering what people where asking in this days... in terms of HD.

Thanks for sharing.

Peace
Osmany

I don't know if there really is alot of people asking for it. But I have had a few that have only because the competition is offering it. Some don't even know what the Hell HD is but since the other guy offered it they want to see what you can offer. I have been shooting HD for a while now and I just LOVE the way it looks. I would never go back. Just my 2 cents.

I have seen some people have the thing produced in HD, but they watch the DVD. They're just future-proofing their investment.

We shot a few in HD, but generally do not do weddings.

Given the fact that HD DVD authoring is pretty limited still, everything goes to SD DVDs. 720/24p footage looks fabulous.

As to whether it is worth the investment for YOU to do weddings, wouldn't that be your decision?

the HVXs marginal low light performance kinda makes it an iffy camera for weddings. unless your clients appreciate grain

If I went back into the wedding business, I'd rent every time. Use whatever cam fits the budget and circumstances. Offer a HD and a SD package.

Purchase things that you'll use in any situation, like lavs, shotguns, tripods, etc.
