Website launched for short film

Re: Website launched for short film

The car mount is similar to the Medium-Weight Filmtools Kit, but I decided to build mine piecemeal. I bought the Filmtools 4x5 cheeseplate and I bought 3 6" suction cups with 1/4-20 screws. Then I bought 6 Avenger gripheads from B&H and a set of ratchet straps from Home Depot. I also got a couple 24" rods. I spent about $400 total.

was still downloading it, just saw the conversation. and the editing is indeed a little weird. if i'm correct the camera also went over the axis in that scene.

but that's nitpicking (if that's a real word) so far it's pretty ok. gonna watch the rest..

The car stuff looks great. I agree with others about the editing. The director might want to consider giving it to another editor to see what they can do with it.

Intresting, little bit messy. To many editing cuts propobly due to locations, or not preseting camera shots. Attention to details need to adjust. Like on begining when he drive car and took flowers, they was in purple plastic, when he give them to mom they was in clear, with ups code on it.
But it is fun big project, nicely done.

Overall I really enjoyed everything so far. The strongest comedy was the date with Maggie in the park, she's like a bi-polar freak, it was edgy and very well played by her. David Daskal's cameo was a little stilted, but his 15 seconds of fame worked in his favor and made his blissed out hippie/prophet nerd work in this scene. (although maggie was busy stealing the scene in the background breaking the skateboard over her knee - great shot!!). The kielbasa babe in the bar was a little cliche, but I have to admit it was kind of funny that it was like this huge summer sausage and she was really going for it!! I think you could salvage that kitchen scene using a color match filter when the lighting changes on that guy's face. It's really noticible when his face goes gray. Also, at Lisa's place the t.v. makes the lighting look very weird in the room, you may want to try and tone that down a little. The pacing could be tightened up here and there, but overall it's pretty damn funny. Fine tune it and you're good to go!
Oh yeah, where's the scene with all the hotties?
