Greetings

Can someone point me to a link tutorial that will basically show me how to compress a video presentation i shot at (hvx) 720 24pn footage / DVCPRO HD codec. Footage was later compressed using compressor 2 to deliver SD footage on DVD and delivered to client. They are now asking for web delivery..

I'd like to deliver actual HD footage as we originally recorded as an option if they would like a higher quality at 320x240 (for 4:3) wmv format, and a SD version to fit 320x240 (for 4:3) wmv format. They are looking for SD but also want to give them the option for a HD version as well. My workstation is a ppc g4 laptop using fcp 6.0.

Thanks in advance.

OH, and we did not discuss pricing about web delivery since it was not brought up originally and i was told they would worry about it. Should i charge for this delivery?? Freebie? Whats the normal rate for something like this...

You should ABSOLUTELY charge for this.

Time = money.

I don't work for free. You shouldn't either.

I charge $75.00 for a short encode. $150.00 for longer ones.

REAL long ones even more.

thanks for the feedback.. DO you know of a link that can walk me through the steps? I would be using compressor 2 to compress? There should be a auto setting for this.

I would charge something too, especially if you will be working with these people more in the future. You don't want to set yourself up for free work again and again. It helps if you have a 2nd or 3rd comp though. That way it doesn't keep you from working.
