This is the first episode of a 12-part web series I'm working on for the City of College Station TX to highlight its capital improvement projects:

Shot in available light with a Canon 5D with 24-70 and 14mm L-series lenses and a Cinevate slider. Audio for this was recorded using an HVX-200 and Rode NTG-3 (for subsequent episodes we used a Zoom H4n.)

This series is a lot of fun to do, and unusual for a government channel, thanks to an innovative boss who encourages creativity.

This is pretty cool here. I love what you guys are doing. The footage looks great and excellent use of the slider. The wonderful locations gives this a feeling of realism and intrigue, but I have to say that there are parts in here where the acting suffers a little bit. The heroine, for instance, when she's putting the transmitter in the trunk almost looked like she was wating for something to happen or she was thinking about what she was going too much and when she was grabbed right after, there was no fight or struggle on her part (or at least that's how it seemed). The snatch and grab would have looked that much better with more struggle. This is very good though and freakin' great for what you guys are using it for. Kudos to you and your boss! Keep up the good work.

Marlon, thanks for the comments and I think you're exactly right. You actually weren't supposed to see episodes 2 or 3, though -- those aren't finished yet.

Wow! OMG! I just hope she gets that info uploaded in time. Summer's almost over and someone may need it stat! :)

How'd you light the bedroom scene. That looked really good. Reminded me of an NBC nighttime drama. Any before and after CC shots.

The whole thing was shot with available light, mainly coming from the big window where she goes to look out at the street. We adjusted the curtains to get a little more light on the bed for the shots where she's laying down, other than that -- nothing.
