C100: Weather "sealed"...or close to it?

With L glass, do you think it can handle the elements? Does anyone make a custom rain bag for the C100?

It has the same weather sealing as the 5D mark II. Which has never given me problems in the damp/snow storms.

echem, as long as you don't count the fan intake and exhaust ports

I read that on the C300 the fan ports are not a path to anything internal in the camera...they are "safe" so to speak.

You'd be correct. The airflow is sealed away from the camera internals. That said, whilst my C300 has seen a lot of rain / dust etc. Id er on the side of caution and put something over it where possible. Those larger raincovers for Canon DSLRs would do the trick most likely.

As far as I know, it isn't classified as weatherproofed like the 1DC, it is simply close to it.
