Watchtower - Canon 7d lowlight action scene test

That was awesome!

Question though - did you shoot most of the video at 1080p 24p and then for the slow motion shots switch over to 720p 60p? and then in post you have a 720p 24p project with the 1080p footage resized and the 60p footage conformed to 24p to slow it down? is that how you go about doing a video like this?

great action shots. Im guessing these guys have some extensive martial arts training?

Not sure what was going on at the end?

What were you using as a stabilizer/Steadicam at the very opening shop?

Yeah, that's how we did it. Most of it was shot 1080p but a couple of shots in 720p so I could get some slowmo. Stabilized with the Gorillapod (I twisted it towards my body)

Project was 1080p 25p all the way.

We are located in Finland.

Finland! I knew it! Well, not exactly but thought it was either Finland, Norway or Sweden.
: )

JonE5, at the end they were goofing around, it was just a test so look at it from the perspective of messing around with friends. The whole thing sort of ends with the lighter being blown out, but the pants make sense when you see them jumping around like crazy. They were probably just hanging out on a Saturday night, not working. : )

How do you guys know each other? A martial arts class? Stunt double classes/work? I also saw the other one where the girl kicks butt, so that's a lot of friends that know martial arts.

We just like doing videos with martial arts :)

This was actually done after our stunt training session. We were bored and were like "hmm, I have the 7d, gorillapod and f1.4 lens. Let's do something."

Hey maarek, awesome work!!!!

What exactly is a "gorillapod" and which f1.4 lens did you use?

Also, did you just use the LCD, or did you have an external monitor or a LCD hood like the HoodMan Loupe?

Great work again, keep it up!

Hi! ISO was 1250-2000.

Gorillapod is a small tripod thing with bendable legs. I bended them to my body so it gets slightly more stabilisation. No follow focus nor monitor. Just the lcd.
