AC90: Warranty for Battery only 10 days?

The battery case has 2 main parts and it's loose. Perhaps the glue got worn off. I have it stuck together with electrical tape. I think it would be better if I get it replaced. I messaged Panasonic today and was told that the warranty for the battery is only 10 days. My internet connection got lost after I was told that so I couldn't get any more info. I'll message them again later today but maybe someone can answer this now.

Is it 10 days even if you got the 3 year professional warranty. I'm a little speechless with the thought that I might not be able to get it replaced. I had the AC90 since around Deember of 2012. Wont be long until my warranty is up.

When sometng goes wrong due to a manufacturing issue the sooner you get it back the better.

It got loose around last year so it didn't happen right away. I just never bothered to try and get it replaced thinking it would be better if I do it when the warranty is almost up.

Just contacted Panasonic again to clarify if the 10 day warranty applies to professional cameras as well and was told it does. I'm in a bit of shock that the warranty for accessories that comes with Panasonic's Professional camcorders are only 10 days.

I'm in the US by the way.
 
So have anyone from the US ever had any luck getting accessories replaced after 10 days? This really doesn't seam right to me.
