Want to get slow, tracking shots from back of car...

any ideas? All I currently have in terms of stabilization is a homemade steadicam. Anybody have experience doing this? I plan on shooting from the back of my roommate's hatchback.

Get a gyro stabilization rig. that will do the trick and thats how alot of the big boys do it.

I shot this stuff out of a hatchback, I was just using a Sony V1 on my lap. I had a boom mic with a windshield on it sticking out of the car as well. They're not exactly slow shots though and in the context of the film they didn't have to be super smooth.
