GH4 Voigtlander Announces a 10.5mm f/0.95 Lens !!!

This looks very interesting. Effectively a 26mm in 4K UHD mode on the GH4. Virtually perfect focal length for stabilizer work.

I have the 25mm, it gives me the horn. Such a lovely lens with buttery smooth focus and lovely colours. Can't wait for this!

This just made my day/week/life.

That pretty much does it for M43, unless you really need fish eye shots this just dialed it in. 22mm in 1080p & 26mm in 4K (on current sensors - future 4K m43 sensor might not require such a crop for 4K and could get back to 22mm).

I think this singlehandedly address the good wide option issue of M43. Safe to say this will replace my Olympus 12mm f/2.0 -- I really never use autofocus anyway.

Voigtlander 10.5, 17.5, 25, 42.5
A couple old adapted longer lenses for range when needed
A couple zoom options if needed

And we're rocking!

I am interested in seeing if my Tokina 11-16 with Speedbooster works. Waiting on my EF to M4/3 as we speak.

Nice lens looking lens.

Cost? Does look awesome...now SLR Magic has something to try to out-do instead of their slowish 10/2.1 :-)

I have the SLR Magic and it does not need to do anything. It is a great lens with edge to edge sharpness wide open, something the Voigtlanders generally don't have at f/.095. And T2.1 is actually equivalent to f/1.9, not a light gathering monster, but still very decent. It will be interesting to see a comparison.

I won't have any footage for a month or so (traveling), but I lent it today to a friend to put on his BMPCC. In camera previews look terrific although I won't be able to see the final edit and grade until I get back. But it looks like a great combination, and as an aside, their variable ND also looks like it is worth it's weight.

Is it cine? No gears, not de-clicked, no go. SLR 10mm cine looks to be a better lens for GH4.

I have been using the Tokina 11-16mm with the EF mount SpeedBooster, and while not f0.95, the f2.0 from this combo is still very useable. And on the wide end only .5mm tighter than the Voigtlander.

David, I've also been using the 11-16 (Nik) on the SB and it seems to suffer from some corner/edge softness, especially when open. Are you noting the same thing?

The Voigt might appeal to me simply if it's somewhat consistent across the frame... and of course matches well with the other CV primes.

VMT, you will have to add gears, but the lens is switchable from "clicked" to non clicked. I have the SLR 12mm and it is a piece of Sh!t for a few reasons. The cine Rokinon 12mm or the standard Rokinon 12mm are much better lenes, YMMV.

You might have a bad copy because my 12mm SLR is awesome. It's my favorite lens. Sure, it's not super sharp wide open but it still cuts well with my razor sharp 20mm Panny pancake. Not to mention the close focus on the SLR yields some interesting macro shots.
