Accessories for the original Canon C100

Here's the most popular accessories that we sell for the original Canon C100:

C-Cup Custom Eyecup for C100 $44.95

Atomos Ninja2-DSLR Monitor Recorder $695

Genus Top Cheese Plate GCP-CCC $125

Switronix DTAP to Canon DC Adapter XP-DV=C300/20 $150

Swit S-8845 Battery with DC Output for Canon $98

So I have recently teamed up with some wedding photographers and started shooting videos of weddings with several already booked. This along with some documentary B roll I shoot monthly has given me enough income to justify the C100 as a purchase (currently shooting on Nikon D7100 because A lot of my other work is photo related instead of video). So I was thinking of picking up the C100 because of the price decrease and hoping to grab one off of the used market. Question being what other accessories would you say I need to go with it?

Can't speak to whether it's better than the Z-Finder, but I use the LCDVF-BM and it works fine for me. It's clear, fits well, is comfortable. The magnets work fine, but it will come off if you bump it hard enough. I'm not sure how much force it would take to knock off a z finder, but I'd guess that the LCDVF is easier to knock off.

Concerning plugging in an external mic to replace the top handle mics. The Olympus does not work. You know what does?

...any old pair of ear bud headphones. Try it. It works.

On these Top Cheese plates (Wooden Camera, Genus, other Etc.), are you able to mount your C100 handle directly to that or do you need this extra item I see (Wooden Camera Shoe Handle Mount #161300) in order to re-mount your handle?

Glad this thread was bumped back up, I was looking for a new case that would allow me to keep the C100 with top handle on. My Cinebags backpack is a little to snug for my comfort.

Tenba Roadie II. It's expensive, but it's about as perfect a bag for the C100 as I've found.
