Virus/Trojan on DVXUser???

Using Safari bypasses the problem for me but otherwise, it still seems evident in Firefox. Why would using different browsers alleviate the issue?

*edit*
Just tried again in Firefox, problem seems to have disappeared. Thank god, I was starting to have film-forum withdrawals.

Seems to be gone for me too...whoever is looking into the "guts" of whatever happened, please share your findings as to the cause.
I'm sure we all have much on our PC's that we would not want to lose to some twerp hacker.

al... we're not exactly sure the intent of the compromise yet. we just know it's all cleared up now. we'll let you guys know when we find otu more info. But, first step was getting things back to normal.

later.

Been a rough patch for the site, huh? First the "whitelist" thing (where I and many others got mysteriously banned for a couple of weeks), then this. Here's hoping it'll be smooth sailing for a while now...

I think my IP address was banned in the process. I can't access DVXuser without using a proxy. Can anybody fix this for me?

siege. go to www.whatismyip.org and email the result to me at jason at landmine dot tv

This whitelist crap will all be over and done with in about a week.

Apppreciate everyone being supportive and relatively patient through all this.

In about a week, things will change a lot.

later,
Jason

Now that we are clear, any ideas if systems were compromised from the attack? Was there any real "risk"?

According to the google alerts it was multiple instances of 'someone' or bots posting links to malicious sites. Not a virus on this server.

There is DEFINITELY something going on with this site, I always keep "Little Snitch" running on my computer and now all of a sudden I keep getting warnings of my rig trying to "communicate" with dvxuser.com.

What's that all about?
