Funny...my laptop does not give out this warning but my desktop running exactly the same profile does?

There is a huge difference between a fraudulent site and a potentially malicious one. A fraudulent site is one that is pretending to be another, usually reputable site; for instance, a site that displays ebay.com in the URL bar but isn’t. The intent here is almost always malicious; you can get your personal information stolen if you aren’t careful. Leave this one ON. I don’t have Safari but there must be a separate option for reported attack sites. An even quicker workaround in Safari is simply to switch off the warning setting !

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! the warning was popping up for me 2 times EVERY time i clicked on ANY dvxuser page. even once I was on dvxuser and opened a thread, clicked next page, etc. EVERY TIME. its fixed now!
(this may have been mentioned before, sorry if it was but...) is this "malicious website warning" thing in any way related to the random banning of my IP address (and i heard some others were banned randomly as well) recently?
We can imagine. What has it happened? How is this possible?Hey, guys... Sorry about this hassle... Trust me, however you feel about it, multiply it times 100 and that's what we've been dealing with all day.
I should say Larry has been. Larry kicked some serious ass. Problem identified and fixed 99.9% sure. Now just waiting on google diagnostics to update.
Sorry for the trouble guys... There are some bad people out there for sure.
Later,
Jason

It’s not crazy. I still get a warning from Google independently of Firefox with the setting off. I have both a hardware and a software firewall, an adblocker, virus protection, and I won’t click or download anything I don’t completely trust. The only difference between when I had the setting on and now is that now I am not bombarded with warnings for a site I know is safe. It is only “crazy” if you are oblivious to security practices and/or have no self-restraint.
