I wanted to let thos know who havnt shot using the Canon 24 - 70mm f2.8 lens that there is a slight focus shift, especially for interviews.
Zooming in to gain focus and zooming and out and then back in again the focus is uncertain even when it looks right on the monitor (with peaking) but when put on a large monitor the out of focus is strong. Apparently its a problem with about 2/3rds of these lenses as they were designed for stills not video.
I have found the Tamron 24 - 70mm exceptional and it also has image stabilisation not like the Canon.
Just wanted to let other virgin uses of this lens know
