I have a T2i, and have been buying vintage Nikkor lenses for it. I have selected to go with the pre-AI vintage lenses. I have posted about these lenses on several threads here, and have, on more then a few occasions, got all kinds of responses back saying that the AI lenses have "Better" lens coatings and handle lens flare better. I thought I would post this video to show how a pre-AI vintage Nikkor lens handles lens flare. The below video, pure raw footage, posted to Vimeo, was shot on a T2i with a vintage pre-AI 24mm F2.8 lens. I shot this just as throw away footage at a local classic car cruise, in my hometown. I figured if there was an issue with the lens coatings on the vintage, pre-AI lenses, headlights shining into the lens would definitely show the deficiencies. You be the judge. I don't see any issues with that. The .mov file, straight off of the card was saved to disc and uploaded to Vimeo.
