Vimeo 4K streaming

May you already noticed that vimeo is now capable of 4K/UHD streaming. I uploaded some 4K footage to vimeo to see the results (MP4 120Mbit/s CBR).

Specially the in between format 1440p is really interesting if you stream footage on a HD or 2.5K monitor.
The variable bitrates on vimeo are:
HD 4.5 Mbps
2.5K 10.0 Mbps
UHD 20.5 Mbps

Here's a 4K (UHD) uploaded example:

Specially the 2.5K format shows many advantages its like when you compare the FS700 internal AVCHD and O7Q-ProRes – if you watch it on a HD monitor (also on a retina iPad or HD+ tablet).
Let me know if you can stream it directly in 4K/2.5K in vimeo, the difference is huge.

Here's a side-by-side comparison

While I do like Vimeo a bit better, people need to understand that you need to be a Pro member to stream 4K on Vimeo. $199.00/year. When Youtube lets you stream 4K for free.

It seems that 4k vimeo streaming is from PRO accounts but also to only certain parts of the world. Here in the middle east, I've gone to james miller's etc videos that are in 4k as well... i'm unable to see them in 4k. Just HD (tho i can download the 4k). Same with a recent film of mine... i uploaded in 4K... i see the download files created, but can't playback/stream in 4k.
