The time has come, another fest deadline is nearly upon us and we are happy to announce the opening of the upload phase for Villain Fest 2011.


Please be sure to read through the rules again to be sure you haven't missed anything, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

In the event you need to re-submit your film follow these steps:
  • Go to the above upload link (http://www.dvxfest.com/upload
  • Fill out all the relevant information on the upload form, using the same values as you did the first time. This will help the system identify the original film and successfully replace it.
  • Notify myself, Jason Ramsey or Zak Forsman via PM and let us know you submitted a revised film so we can confirm it was received and that it successfully replaced the original.

also, it's 100MB again for the uploads. h.264... the usual.

If you are new to it and have any questions about it, feel free to post up in here... one of the mods or one of the members will be along to help you where we can.

We want you to be able to submit your entry and have it viewed by your peers. Don't get discouraged. Our goal is inclusion, not exclusion...
 
quick question... do want us to upload the BTS video too (even though they are posted in our threads)... I see three upload file boxes?
1. the film
2. the BTS video
3. the poster
 
would be helpful for us, yes... so we don't have to hunt down all the threads... that way I'll just see it with the uploaded film and can check both together.... will make things move quicker.

Found a problem, got an upload error... you have set the upload limit to 110mb. That's not big enough for both videos. You might want to up the limit if you want everything.
(my total for the two videos and a poster is 125Mb)
 
that's cool. don't worry about uploading the videos then.... seemed like we did that last time, but i think now i'm mis-remembering.... as long as you put your thread url in there, it'll be easy for me to go find your bts video....

film and poster is fine.
 
I just uploaded our film and all the information and it seemed to work great.

Our poster and BTS video are up in our discussion thread, so I didn't upload those. If you need me to send those to someone - just let me know.
 
Well my upload seems to be stalled again - no progress bar. I tried Firefox 5 and now IE 9, same thing. Could it be that my BTS is too large and pushing over the limit?
I'll try once again without the BTS and see what happens...

Larry increased the size limit, so there shouldn't be a problem there. Give it some time...there is no progress bar that I've ever seen...relax...walk away and let it do it's thing.
 
uploading... god help me.

Also, I fricken exported it and the size musta glitched. So it's not widescreen :/

Ah well, it still plays well, despite the glaring sound issues i didn't have time to combat. Damn you two jobs!!!
 
Just want t o make sure we are good with having our Posters and BTS on our film pages. I did not send them in with the film upload...Poster was up and BTS is on VIMEO since about 3:15....thanks
