Viewfinder for 5D3

Is there any viewfinder that fits the 5D3 in the market already? Just wondering if my viewfinder for the 5D2 will still fit the 5D3.
 
I'm fairly sure I saw a YouTube post where someone tested the Z-finder on the 5DMkIII, and said it worked. Can't find the link. Sorry.
 
The stick-on frames won't fit as the screen is slightly larger & there isn't a whole lot of frame around the screen on which to stick one. You may have to be satisfied with a 95% view as the frame probably needs to overlap the LCD.

The Zacuto Z-Finder that fits to the Zacuto gorilla plate should be OK although possibly there may need to be a specific 5D3 gorilla plate.
 
I tested the Z-finder on a 5DMIII, no problem. You have coverage. A little less lip for the mounting frame on the right side of the LCD, but do-able.
 
clay, is there a noticeable "loss" of screen real estate? I was reading somewhere that using an old VF would mean you weren't seeing the whole screen (something small like 1-2%).
 
No, because not only is the screen smaller, but also the image. So you see everything with the Z if O remember correctly. In any case no need to invest in a new viewfinder in my opinion.

We are working on a new mounting frame for the 3.2" screens. It should be ready around NAB. You will not need a new Z-Finder just a new mounting frame. Updates coming soon!
