Video Stutter and freeze.

I filmed an interview 1080p with a 7d. I recorded audio seperately I then synced it up and exported individual scenes to prores with the audio. Now when I bring those clips into FCP the video plays for 4 seconds and then freezes while the audio continues. Is my cpu to slow I have an intel Imac and have been editing 7d clips just fine.

An Intel iMac with what cpu and speed?

What version of pro res?

What version of FCP?

What dedicated FW800 external media drive are you using?

Was it 1080 -24 - 30 or 60?

ProRes LT, Proxy, 422, HQ, 444 or what?
 
Intel Mac 2.16ghz core 2 duo 2gb Ram
Firewire is 400 2gb Lacie drive
1080 24fps
ProRes 422 hq

My preliminary thought is that your specs can handle pro res 422 HQ off a FW400 drive with that CPU.

But unfortunately, I cannot test it.

What version of FCP?
