GH13 Video: Is this aliasing...

I think that shimmer is either moire and/or compression artifacts. Aliasing is the stair-stepping you see in otherwise sharp diagonal lines.

Actually now that I zoom in, it looks like some sort of colour noise? Anyone else want to chime in?

SIGH.

What are we supposed to see.

Youtube mud, OK.

And...?

...or you actually need to be told that you must upload a source file for ANYONE able to say ANYTHING about your clip, and not linking to what seems to be uploaded a bitrate hardly going over 10mbs?

Geez... no need to be an a$$...

I am uploading it now...

This is classic "keyframe popping"

Every 25th frame in this 25fps video is a higher quality I-frame which has higher bitrate allocation and "pops" into view with more detail than the surrounding lower quality P-frames

It might have been caused by youtube , but you have to upload the original clip, as others have suggested

The youtube video is definitely a youtube issue with keyframe popping.

But that original video is definitely an example aliasing and color moire.

Just to make sure... you are saying the moire is what the flashing ground is?

It's from a Nikon. Thanks for helping out... I can't believe how it pops up in places like the ground...

Well maybe you should change the thread title , as it's not from a GH13

GH1(3) / 2 exhibit aliasing and moire patters too, but not this severe

Ya, it made me select one of GH1 or 3 or GH2. This is were I hang out so I posted it here as I am mainly a GH13 owner. Plus the NIkon forum is dead...
