Alright so I was reading the HPX manual last night and it states in order to get overcranking I need to change the Frame Rate. Now bear with me, the only place I see to change the frame rate is by switching the mode to "Film Mode" and then selecting a frame rate speed from there is that correct? If not, how can I adjust the frame rate and I am of course assuming that Shutter speed and frame rate are not the same thing.

you can assign your user buttons to change the frame rate. And yes the scene file must be in film mode for it work. Go into sw mode in your menu and set it up to your liking.

Thanks for your response I see now. Now how do I get overcrank vs undercrank. What would be a good test to see the difference?

Set your camera to 720p 24pn

Then, set your frame rate to anything above or below 24 frames. Anything faster than 24 frames will result in a slow down when played back, anything lower will result in sped up footage.

If you have Barry Greens book, the answers lie within.

Id you set a user button to plus frame rate you can go all the way up to 60 frames per second. The slow motion will be very obvious. The same for a minus frame rate. The footage will be very fast.

I set my user 1 button to F.rate + which is overcranking and my user 2 to F.rate - Which is undercranking.

Hope that helps.

DM, This helped alot and I will be sure to pick up that book from Barry its available on this forum correct?

Adam, cool tip with the user1, user 2 functionality took your advise on that.

All great help guys. Is there a reason why I don't see it during record on LCD and only upon playing back?
