Very rugged 7" monitor with HDMI

So in the top monitor they are trying to be sneaky and make it seem like it's 1080p.... when really it just accepts a 1080p signal and does some internal scaling down? I don't trust a company trying to be that scamtastic.

Calm down. They clearly stated that "1080p is supported" (and they mean 1080p instead of 1080i) and this is important.
And all this "I do not thrust". Makes me sick.

The rugged monitor has a max brightness of 220cd/m. You can get the Lilliput monitors at 450cd/m. I think I'd want the brightest monitor if I intend on using it outdoors.

I think you need sun shade if you plan to use it outdoors.
All this ultra high braghness settings are not usable in cheap panels (they just destroy contrast and black levels).
Generally 220cd can be better, as most probably they adjust brighness by panel (not by led).

I know only about one company who uses amazing LCDs in their products with good colors and that can be viewable on direct sun.

Absolutely right about the sunshade. Although, I think I would want to use a sunshade and a bright monitor, even if the contrast and black levels suffer. I would mostly want to use the monitor to pull focus, and would probably use the onboard lcd to check the real color of it if I had to.
