GH2 Very first time with 720p/60, a question....

Hi everyone, another newbie question here :) I need to create some slow motion footage, something I've never done before. So I'm shooting in 720p/60fps and I need to know the right way to do slow down the footage. I use FCP X, so do I just do a simple command-J and set the speed to 60% or whatever? Or is that not the proper way to do it?

yeah man, command R I believe is the retiming shortcut. May want to try the adjustments such as frame blending, depending on how slow. The best I've seen is after effects, and just re-interpret the 60p footage as 23.976 and throw it down on a 23.976 timeline.

Yeah Command-R brings up the retiming bar. Then just drag the end to slow the footage by 40% (if going 60p->24p) or 50% (if going 60p->30p). There is also a Retiming button near the right which give more options like frame blending or optical workflow. Only use these if you need to slow more the 40 or 50% ...
