I'm in Hawaii DPing a documentary and we just got wind of the venus transit
we have a Canon 800mm L IS and want to shoot the transit on a cropped sensor turning it into a 1200mm, BUT!
Solar filters are sold out everywhere
can't find anything stronger than #12 welding glass
anyone know any other good alternatives?
We have a 6 hour window in hawaii (luckily) where Venus will be visible and want to grab as much footage as possible, so whatever fix would need to be able to take that kind of duration.
