Vegas Pro 11 released

Thanks for the let-know. I think I'll give it a little while before I give it try - let them sort out any initial bugs :kali:...

If you supplied your email to Sony when registering Vegas in the past check your email. I got an email offering an upgrade special price of $150, valid until the end of November. I cann't post it as it apperas to be linked to my email address.

Just upgraded mine. Seems a reasonable cost saving, considering I was planning to upgrade anyway. But I'll certainly keep the old version on my computer for a few months, just in case any monster bugs in v11 show themselves.

Yeah, I find that's always a good plan.

Where is the preview in player????????? WTF!
And they´ve messed up the render dialog screen to a point it´s s**t. Great. Thank you.

According to the manual, there's a mini player with Play, Stop and Auto Preview buttons in the Explorer window.

Most users on other forums like this change so each to his/her own I guess.

is anyone else having troubles with 11? I got the trial version. I noticed it plays back my HD a lot smoother. I try to render stuff and I cant get it to work. I tried maybe a dozen different set ups... even rendering to SD and it kept freezing, crashing, giving me error messages. The program itself crashed a couple of times just during editing.

I have been using 8c for several years.

Just tried the trial version of 11 and like it. It has successfully handled some native files (Panasonic TM700 60P & Nikon D7000) that crashed/choked 8c. No crashes or freezing so far. This time around I will be upgrading.

just ordered mine. For 150 it seems like a good deal. I've been using 9 and recently ran into problems with Mark II mov files.

That's why I'll stick to 10 for a little while longer, first releases usually have some major bugs like this.

10 improved the playback ability with HD H.264 video already.

Preview in player is a different function to preview renders without the need of saving them.

Not sure if you're JV1 on the Sony Vegas forum but that user asked the same question and the response was:
Spoke with a Sony Rep and they confirm it's gone but they don't know why.

Trial has crashed several times for me on a clean system (just Win7, drivers and V11 trial). Have also ran into bugs like the preview window scrambling upon resizing. Disabling the GPU processing seems to resolve them for the most part, but that's the feature I wanted most. Hope they can get that straightened out as the times it did work, it seemed to do the job quite well.

Video card tested is an Nvidia GTX480.

Does the GPU processing work for real time playback or is it only with rendering (like in 10)?
