EVA1: V60 SDXC cards

But the pictures of the cards show a V60 designation. ( which I would still want to test, as some V60 cards have still been too slow for 400 Mbps recording )

Dingo: which V60 cards, specifically, do you know of (or heard about) that are too slow for 400mbps? Just curious.

So far, I've only heard about the Delkin V60 cards (and that's just from a few anecdotal reviews on B&H website).

To all: please keep in mind that most of the specific cards discussed in this and a similar SD card thread that work or don't work for 400mbps recording are not V60 rated (or faster)... rather, they are very high speed cards that maybe were manufactured before the "V" ratings came along, or are just fast enough to *mostly* work... I think...

Anyway, these are not to be confused with the actual V60+ rated cards. I would like to know about any cards that claim to meet the spec but do not work for 400mbps.

The guys who run the CRFTSHO channel on YouTube shot a GH5 6K anamorphic short for Panasonic, and in one of their commentary videos they mentioned that both the Delkin V60 and the Panasonic V60 SD cards failed when trying to record 400 Mbps. They ended up using Panasonic V90 cards for the shoot.

FYI, I just got an email from B&H that the ProGrade cards are now available.

Dingo: Thx. I couldn't find the clip where they talk about the cards, but I'll take your word for it. Delkin is consistent from other reports I've seen. I'm a bit puzzled by the Panasonic card, although you said it was a V60, I don't see one currently available... just the V90 and the "Micro P2" cards (only 2 of which are rated V90). I wonder if it was one of the older discontinued Gold Series cards (that didn't have a V rating yet) and the CRFTSHO folks just rolled the dice on the name brand and max write speed claims.

They may have been discontinued. The Panasonic V60 cards looked identical to the V90 cards, but doing a Google search I don't see them listed anywhere. ( I originally found them last Summer when I was trying to figure out which cards would be able to handle 400 Mbps recording )
