but oh well i dont blame him.

I hope Natalie and Hugo are there (and seeing the Wachowskis would be cool, too). I could do without Joel Silver.

The afterparty, however, was.
The early reviews seem to disagree (thankfully):Policar said:Hate to break it to everyone, but the movie is not that outstanding...

I can't wait! This is the first movie this year I am really looking forward too.
Here's the audio from Ebert/Roepper too:

Don't get too excited about this one. It's beautifully shot, has some great sequences, but has a lot of issues with the muddled and overly-pedantic script. It's trying to be really controversial but its message is kind of unclear. You know how Reloaded got weird and made no sense by the end, despite tons of explanatory monologues? Now try to do extreme left politics that try and generate a lot of controversy within the same story mold. Doesn't work. The story world and characters aren't that well fleshed out, either. The climax is fun, though.
My friend snuck me into the VIP room with all the stars and producers, by the way (and the Wachowskis, of course.) All good people. I hope the movie does well, but wish it had been better.
Policar said:I haven't read it, but it makes enough references to contemporary America that I have to assume it goes pretty far. It's kind of muddled in that comic book story that's been condensed too much kind of way, so I could be wrong, though.
