Hi!

I´m a long time reader but this will be my first post here on the forum.

Last summer me and a friend started a short film project to get back on track and start to film again. It has been a long time since we last did a fiction movie and we hope this will be a new start.

We are now in postproduction with the cut finished and are currently working with the sound design and music.

Here is a short teaser we did a couple of weeks ago. We plan to make a trailer when we have the sound design and music. And we will do a version with english subtitles :)

Patrik and Mia are going in different directions in life but tragic circumstances brings them closer together. The question is whether it is already too late ...

For the scenes in the moving car we used the canon 7D on a Multi Mount - Panther Broadcast. But almost the entire film was shot on a HVX200 with a letus extreme and nikon primes.

We worked with a really small crew. Most days we were only 7 people on set including the actors.

Our make up artist Magdalena is preparing Frida for a dramatic scene.

Oh sorry. We shot most of the film outside Stockholm in Sweden. And some of the scenes outside a city called Gävle also in Sweden. The scene with the car cemetary was shot in an old junkyard at a secret place not to far from Stockholm. We shot the film in about a week and tried to have as few locations as possible. Most of the story takes place in a car and we found it quite challenging to make it interesting.

By the way, are you swedish or did google translate help you :)

Nice. I didn't recognize any location at all, though I've been around Stockholm. I thought maybe it was somewhere around Jönköping judging by the vegetation, but I guess not.

Neither :). I lived in Sweden for five years though. I still understand all of it, but I've forgotten the writing a bit, and more importantly, never learned specialized vocabulary outside my field. It's like any language. Even if you learned English, and lived in the U.S., unless you worked in film, you wouldn't know specialized film terms. I was not involved in film in Sweden, so, sadly, I lack the vocabulary for that. I do watch all the films in Swedish though, without subtitles :). Also, I can curse in Finnish - simply because I'd come across some hard-drinking Finns in Sweden from time to time :)

And I hear you about "most of the story takes place in a car and we found it quite challenging to make it interesting." I have an upcoming project where a lot of time is spent inside a small two-person tent at night. Imagine trying to keep that interesting with only two actors (a guy and a girl). At least with a car, one person is driving, you can have quite a bit of drama with that, plus, of course, the landscape outside of the car; and all is moving, the car is shaking, going over bumps. But what about inside a dark small tent where you can't even stand up? Talk about challenges.

Anyway, lycka till!

Yeah! But it is fun with challenges aswell. We really learn a lot by doing this movie. Good luck with your upcoming project!

We are currently talking to a really talented composer who wants to work with us on this project. It it nice to make new friends and meet new collaborators. We found him on the swedish sitehttp://www.filmcafe.se were we also found actors and crewmembers for our project and it turned out great. And I have had a lot of help from reading the threads on dvxuser the years i´ve been a member. What would we do without internet and the collaborations it provides?!

Thanks! I personally like the dark tones aswell.

We are currently talking to a really talanted composer for the score, his name is Emil Brandqvist and here you can listen to some of his work http://www.emilbrandqvist.se/media-2/

As a temp score we used the soundtrack from Revolutionary Road. It really suits our film, but of course we want something unique and we think Emil will bring that.

We are also designing a poster for the movie. Martin Lundström from http://www.clockworkstudio.se/index2.html has decided to help us. Check out his stuff, it´s great.
