OTHER: Usps: This is improved tracking

Nice work! Congratulations!

I do wonder about one thing though, from a purely conceptual point of view of whoever's idea this was. Today's audience is pretty used to computer and graphics effects in film. I bet you anything, unless the viewer is at least a bit familiar with video work, the lay audience on average might misunderstand this completely... instead of seeing a cool technological effect, they might think it's just some cheap graphic overlay of an image of a box, that is simply slapped on the video throughout the whole piece, just as written titles might be, which is, meh, not at all impressive... the few instances where someone is touching the box might be thought of as a shot sfx. Audiences that go to Transformer movies will have no idea what's involved here, so I don't know how impressed they'd be.

Of course, I'm talking about a complete non-pro audience.

Anyhow, that's kind of a side point. The work itself is quite interesting.

Looks great Matt, nice work as always.

I'll preface this with saying sorry to Matt, and that I'm not trying to be mean but nobody who you're talking about will make it though this. It's about 60 seconds too long (75 seconds too long really). Is this a local agency in DC who's doing the concept on this Matt? I don't know who is handling USPS these days.

Really great work (that goes without saying)...but the USPS is hemorrhaging money every year, laying off workers, closing locations and raising postage...and this is what they decide to spend money on? Wonder how much the media buy will be, oh... no worries, we'll all pay for it in the long run!

FYI... I'd cash the paycheck quickly. :lipsrseal

This is actually one of the in-house USPS Producer's I work for.

Thanks

Blame congress.

The Post Master General has said in front of Congress that if they simply went to a 3-day delivery (like they do in parts of Europe), they would be back in the black and not have any debt at all.

Congress denies them the authority to do this every time.

I think this promo does a great job promoting the USPS priority mail program. I use it all the time. Free shipping boxes, online postage, online tracking and pickup by your mail carrier at your house during his regular route. Also, cheaper than the private carriers. They have their act together on this one. Matt, the BTS was pretty interesting.

The concept was simple, yet creative, and very well executed. I did not know USPS had their own Youtube channel... but who doesn't these days?
