using Zeiss prime lens with GH1...aperture ring problem

I just got my Novoflex MFT/NK adapter.

I have a CArl Zeiss Distagon 50mm f/1.4 lens,

The problem is that when I turn the aperture ring on the Zeiss lens from F11 to F1.4, I see no change in the viewfinder of the GH1 camera.

I know I must be doing something wrong.

Please help. thanks very much in advance.

Make sure the novoflex adapter is not interfering with the aperture settings? Are you in M mode in Creative Movie Mode?
