C100: Using the Marshall Electronics V-LCD56MD external monitor with the C100

I have the 56MD and I've used it with several cameras but not the C100. Are you sure you've selected the HDMI input? Used the right input connector? Checked that the C100 output is set to 1080i?
 
I've been using the Blade with no difficulty so this is hard to understand. Where do I set the C100 output to 1080i? I'm pretty sure it must be set that way as it worked with the Blade.
 
Ninja Blade works perfectly from the C100. Marshall monitor works well from other sources including the blade. But I can't use the Marshall from the C100. What am I missing?
 
Same problem with a TV Logic and ocassionally a SmallHD DP7. There is something squirrly about the hdmi output on the c100. I've resorted to going into a atomos h2s and the sdi out to my monitors.
 
I had problems going from C100 to a Blackmagic HDMI TO HD-SDI converter, had to do firmware update on the converter.

Any firmware updates you can do on the C100?
 
I've got the Marshall V-LCD50 (different monitor, I know) and it works great with my C100 Mk1. The one issue I've ever run into is if I turn on the monitor first and then plug the HDMI in and then turn on the camera, the monitor sometimes has issues connecting, but a simple restart of the monitor fixes it.

I'd shoot Marshall and email, they're tech support has always been on point when ever I have questions.
 
Ninja Blade and Small HD DP-6 here, both have worked perfectly from the get go with the C100. Do a factory reset? Something is set up wrong.
 
So an exhaustive search online led me to a few comments by customers at B&H who had the same problem. It seems some Marshall monitors such as mine don't read the 24p signal coming from the C100. I sent Marshall an e-mail and got no reply. My workaround is to use an unneeded Ninja 2 as an intermediate step between the Camera and the Marshall monitor which then works perfectly. Annoying.
 
Sorry to hear that Mervin. Glad you found a workaround. One of my clients has a Marshall monitor, I will have to kep that in mind if for some reason we ever need to use their monitors along with mine.
