Using real candles

I need to light a scene using real candles. Don't ask why, long story. I was wondering if i could get some candles with larger then normal flame.
Any ideas?

Double wick candles, lots of them, and the NASA f/0.7 lenses Kubrick used for Barry Lyndon. You can rent those lenses.

That's the only place I've ever been able to find these in any variety beyond one plain taper.

I lost track of them - couldn't remember the name - for a year and it was a nightmare...20,000 google links and NONE of them were proper for film like these are.

They'll ship fast if you call them.

Search Roger Deakins' forum. He has several posts regarding this.

As I recall - find a local candle maker and have them make you triple-wick candles (it's a popular hobby); or scoop out the back of a candle and add a small globe and hide the wire.

Churches use double-wick candles, so finding someone that supplies churches may help.

Or just use that amazing tool called "google" and find things like this:
