using proxymill, anyway to create one QT file for preview ?

I have 4 64 gig cards that i need to send to a producer to preview, I bought proxymill which is great for exporting a low res qt proxy with time code but it will be very time consuming for him to play each clip separately. Is there any way of combining all of the clips in Quicktime - without having to open each one and independantly copy and paste them into a new file.

I thought I could just select all of the files and open them as one in QT but doesn't seem to work.

Thanks for any replies !

Just received an answer - Mpeg streamclip allows you to imort multiple files then save them as one.

Proxymill 3 has a "merge spanned clips" option which might address your needs. This option won't merge every clip, just the spanned ones, though an option to merge all clips might be a nice feature addition so that a card volume might become one large clip.

Thanks Mark, have you ever had issues with Proxymill not converting clips? I'm getting half my clips showing error even though they all import fine into fcp. Seems like a good program but if it doesn't create proxies of all of my shots then it wasn't worth the $ 300

I do get errors and sometimes have to re run the batch to get a complete set. Try 2 Proxies per processor / 5 retries in the prefs settings

Thanks for that, I'll increase the retries in the preferences. I emailed them about it and apparently there is an update coming which addresses the errors.

How do you change the amount of proxies per processor ? Is that also in preferences?

All in all it's a fantastic program, I was scratching my head how to get so much vision to my producer. I'm thinking of adding shotput pro to it so I can export the proxies as I capture the cards.
