GH2 Using high bit rate (HBR) mode

I have a hacked GH2.

Do you need to select HBR mode to enable the hack? Is HBR mode progressive?

What about choosing 24p mode on a hacked GH2? If you choose that, does that mean 24p at 24 Mbps? Or is HBR the recommended mode to choose to enable the hack?

Which is better -- 24p or HBR once the GH2 is hacked?

You must be in a Pal area,HBR is 25P in an interlaced wrapper,i use 25P but have never hacked,Whether 25 or 24P is best with a hack i dont know but i doubt it makes much difference,Hack users will no doubt be able to answer the question.

What about choosing the regular 24p movie mode setting on a hacked GH2? If you choose that, does that mean 24p at 24 Mbps? Or is HBR the recommended mode to guarantee that the hack is applied?

Which is superior in bit rate -- 24p or HBR mode once the GH2 is hacked? If you say choose 24p 24H, does that mean the high bit rate will work? Or does choosing the HBR recording mode yield a higher bit rate than 24p 24H?

Unhacked the GH2 has the same bit rate in 25P in a wrapper and 24P,i would guess hacked would be the same but i am not certain.

Most popular hacks provide higher bitrates in all video modes, not just in HBR mode. "High Bit Rate" is just the name Panasonic chose for their progressive 25p/30p video mode; other than the frame rate it works the same as other video modes. After you hack the camera, you should see increased video bitrates in general.
