I have been asked to do a job in some kind of coating industry company. The place where I need to film is 50 °C / 122 °F to 65 °C / 150 °F is it possible for the camera to work for a short period of time?
I guess you are right.. Maybe I could try to cool the camera down with some kind of ice bricks and protect the front of the camera with some kind of thermo fabrics..
Yeah, good luck, basically! I shot in Thailand in 35°C humid heat, in the shade, and it overheated in about 10mins. I found that getting a small hand towel, soaked in water then really rung out so it is just damp, then wrap it around the camera body kept it cooler for a little longer
Short period of time, yes I think. But expect it to overheat.
There are many good suggestions for prolonging recording time until it overheats, including keeping the battery external (grip), running a fan at it over an ice bucket- the fact that its a 7D means you can probably expose it to some elements like ice bricks, but be careful- its resistant to elements, but not waterproof.
