Used the GH2 for a pro job! (thoughts on the application)

What kind of remote control did you use? And does it work reliable over the distance?

You can never have enough corporate looking shots of someone using a computer. (No, seriously. You always need one when you're doing a techy corporate video.)

It's just the basic 7" from coollcd.com I added a Sony battery adapter from ikan. I notice that the hdmi out image varies from the recorded files and from what's on the in camera LCD and evf. Maybe it's a little more saturated, or a tad more contrasty?

The samang 85 is great, I really liked it on the 5d but it makes a nice fast telephoto on the gh2. Bokeh is really nice.

The af area can be set via touch screen on the back of the camera, but you can't control it from a remote.
 
Not to take Hunter's thread off-topic, but I hooked up my SmallHD DP6 to my new GH2 last night, and wow. The image looks fantastic out of the GH2 HDMI.

It's a remote from pixel, available on eBay. Worked flawlessly for me- think it's rated up to 100meters and does not require line of sight.

I found this PIXEL RW-221 Wireless Remote Shutter Release.
Are you quite sure, that it can release the video function of a GH2 ?

May I ask, how are you finding the codec on the GH2? I remember the problems with the GH1 mud and stuff but it seems to be cleared up now?

Which matte box did you use? It doesn't seem to dwarf the GH2 as much as I imagined most matte boxes would.

The codec seems fine- for a dslr anyways. Miles better than the gh1 was, but it's still important to get it looking right in camera- I don't know how well it would stand up to majorly pushing around exposure and white balance in post.

It was a toss up between asking about the clothing or beard related products, because, clearly it's the gear that makes your pictures look so good.

I'm totally being self deprecating since I just ordered your PIXEL RW-221 and am in the process of checking out you lens recommendations.

Now as for those shoes.... ;)
