C100: USB port on C100 powered?

Does anyone know if the USB port on the C100 has the ability to power something like the Paralinx Arrow?

It would have been pretty darn useful. I use wireless HDMI transmitters powered by USB. Now, I have to have a USB battery pack hanging off of the C100. I'm sure it would have been incredibly simple for Canon to wire up the USB port for power. SmallHD do it on their monitors.

tape whatever hanging to your tripod. thats the easiest solution. remember to use gaffer tape. if you use duct tape then......... lol Im more than willing to watch you trying so hard to tear the glue off.

i've been wondering forever why no one has made a pass through plate which goes between the camera's battery and the battery, which can feed off the battery's power, and ideally have a 5v and 12 conversion. there's been things kind of like this, but none quite right, and none canon as far as i know

anything like that out there? i'd be thrilled if there were and i just never came across it
