usb cable and content software

Hi all,

Im trying to install the CM software for the fs 100 but its not working.
The usb cable i got for the fs100 is totally different then described in the manual ..it has a female output.
Plus the manual says to not connect the camera to the computer when Installing the software...but when I try installing the setup requests a CM device to be present ..connected to the pc..

LOL ? I mean seriously.

and when I try to connect it with a different usb cable..it stays on the mass storage Preparing message screen.
 
it works ..still strange that the manual tells you not to connect to camera when Installing CM software...
