urgent, spidey's dvx is jacked

spidey just called me having a problem with his dvx. says it wont open the tape housing upon eject, he said it says somthing like, "auto off unloading lock" or something like that. anyone have any ideas?

yeah i need help but i got the tape out now i just cant get any other tape to work in it and it locks up again.

menu reset?

remove small memory battery?

if neither of those work I'd suggest a certified panasonic center spidey.
