I am using the CANON HD HX A1 camera. I am unable to digitize my footage and I've tried a number of solutions that have ended up fruitless. I've done the follow and gotten these problems. And to note, the footage is fine when i look at it on the camera but on the computer it gets messed up. I am unable to view it through the hd decks. Please please assist me in my video downfall.
Attempt #1: On final cut pro when i log and capture, i put the in and out markers. i try and log the clip. they are loged but are not capture. i set it to the right place and saved my project. these are my settings:
Sequence present: hdv-1080p24
capture preset: hdv
device control present: hdv firewire 25 fps
video playback:none
Attempt #2: doing the same thing, i tried changing the user preferences. i unchecked "report dropped frames during playback:," "abort eet/pvt on dropped frames,"abort capture on dropped frames". i chose "warn after capture" on the drop down menu. When i log and capture, the same thing occurs.
Attempt #3: i then try in final cut pro, the log "now" button. When i try this, it says the following: "capture was stopped due to a problem with the incoming stream. this might be a problem with the tape. all media up to this point has been preserved."
Other attempts: same things occured in premiere.
If you can please help me out, it would be much appriciated because my video is about to get ghettofied.
