Urgent 24pa questions!!

U said this to me earlier on ...how does one do that in CS3? cuz i'm sure that would alleviate this prob. The first delivery i gave them was edited on 24p timeline and just exported to tape. Because it was exported to tape does that mean its 29.97 interlaced?? cuz i dont see any options to make it ntsc except when i export as movie ( microsoft dv avi). And we saw how that turned out.

Yes, if it's on tape, it's 29.97. But like I said, if you printed to tape and you're watching it on your own TV from the tape and it looks OK, then the problem is going to be on their end. I don't know what they're doing which could cause the problem.

Yes, it's 29.97 on tape, but my strong feeling is that CS3 Export to Tape is exporting 24pA. You probably wouldn't know the difference watching back on a TV. The cadence is a little different than normal 2:3 pulldown, but it's watchable and most people wouldn't know the difference.

If it's "strobing" at the TV station it's probably because they are assuming it's Normal 24p, not Advanced, and they are removing the wrong fields. Just a guess. At the station, they may not be used to seeing anything but 24p Normal.
