HAHAHA

Nice impression, but I think you're missing the part where he just tears into people

American Judge gives you a 7, but the French give you a 3

I have to admit, it's been enlightening over the past couple of years, reading this site and seeing how many parents do buy their kids $3500 cameras for birthdays and Christmas. It never fails to boggle the mind.

If this is anyone's definition of a "crappy economy," I can't imagine what it would take to convince them it's going well . . .

That's nothing compared with the night the zombie movies were supposed to be posted.
I remember that....That must've been a record. I remember the thread got deleted the next day and I lost nearly a hundred posts, lol. Good times.

Sorry bout the double post.

Chris, I know how you feel man. I definately asked Santa for a Steadicam Merlin and all I got was three f***** crunchies!

I've always said that I can't afford to have a kid just from the food and diapers aspect. If my kid came to me and asked for a $3500 camera I'd knock his head off

I'd get my kid a Hi8 and see what he can do with that then he gets a DVX. When I was younger I bought a hi8 camera and shot a movie without even knowing "editing" existed. So all the scenes had to be in order on the camera and if we messed up we had to do the whole film all over. Those were the good ol days.

" "I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school, he was terrible in that film... Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you"

hahahaha

SAD MAX, I'm sure you're an honest guy but after 15 years of dealing with people in camera shops, all I can say is there must be a particular place in hell for those liars.

That's nice of you to say...

...can't speak for camera-shop salesmen (I research the crap outta everything I buy, so by the time I get the the counter it's just "ring me up for this particular thing, and don't waste my time talking to me about it...")

...but if they're remotely like car salesmen, I bet you're right.

My cousin-by-marriage is this tall, strikingly beautiful Filipina, and the last time she and her husband went to buy a car, she just stalked right up to the first salesman on the floor, got in his face, and barked out,

Car salesmen are scum. Let's deal.

"Going Well" = paying cash or cutting a check for the purchase

"Crappy" = buying the thing on credit. People can keep stacking up a near-limitless number of $3500 purchases for their kids, so long as it's all on plastic and they only have to service the monthly minimum payments...regardless of the actual state the economy may be in

Yeah. Life's a b*tch before you figure out the "rewind" button.

Where did your Mom buy the GL2? If she got the wrong camera take it back. If you have parents that can drop $3600 for a Christmas gift you should get what you want. The DVX100B is around $3300.

Why keep some crappy GL2. You could almost buy a XL2 for what your mom paid for the GL2.
