Uploading

Hello,

I'm new to the forums and I've been looking for the ideal compression format for uploading to youtube. I've searched everywhere, but anything I try in FCP either becomes out of sync with the audio or looks horrible (compared to other uploads i've seen). It seems as if youtube isn't very mac-friendly because I've uploaded videos off my notebook pc and it looks great!.

I don't know what to do. My uploads to myspace look fine, but then I go to upload the same video to youtube and it doesn't look as good. (or as good as other youtube uploads) I've been reduced to transfering my videos to my pc everytime I want to upload to youtube. The .wmv seems to work best, but I can't do that on my mac. Is there a converter I can download to go from .mov-.wmv?

I normally wouldn't even use myspace or youtube, but it's that they just get so much traffic it's a must.

If this is an old topic than please direct to the right thread.

I'm a Sony Vegas user myself, but I came across this article from Ken Stone's excellent website that should help anyone out. It talks about how to best encode YouTube videos using Compressor, which is what FCP comes with, right?

Wow thanks alot! This should solve my problem! hah, I guess I should have done some more research.

And yes, compressor comes with FCP.
