jesus balls, i screwed up the bitrate. doh, redoing now, seems to be right size, 30 minutes remaining on render, hope the ftp is still up lol.

mine is crap anyhow. i simply couldn't pull it togethor quite on time, so I gave it a total wtf ending.

EDIT:

Just saw jarreds giving us till sunday!!!! Gonna have this puppy fixed and uploaded stat/pronto!

So uh i dont know if i count as uploaded yet :P

My movie is about 5min 30sec and at maximum quality, it's 286 Mb. I wonder how briceman can get this size in MPEG2.

Hopefully, someone is already taking at least a cursory glance at them, to make sure everything went well (non-corrupted, correct encoding, etc).

I'd sleep easier. :)

Yeah, I know that the films have been taken off of the ftp, so I am sure they're in the process. Hopefully we'll get some more info and details in the next few days or so.
 
lol After spending 4 days straight at the computer rendering, cutting, rerendering, cutting mixing, cutting and sleeping once every other night, now that it's all done, I don't know what to do with my life. This was all I was living for for the past week. hahaha

O so how true . It is nice to have some free time instead of rushing to get the shots done before the deadline and in a week or so we'll all enjoy the hard work done by everyone . Can't wait .

Only 49 so far? I was expecting a hundred! Everybody got so excited about ZombieFest with like 80+ entries, that I thought all us geeks would come out of the woodwork for a sci-fi contest, and come out to something like 100+ entires!

If any of you didn't submit because it wasn't finished, or it wasn't "perfect" or whatever, submit something anyway since the grace period is supposedly extended until Sunday. I finally wrote my script TWO days before the deadline! I actually COULD have shot my last pick-up shots AND my short would've actually made sense! As is, my short doesn't make ANY sense at all! It's not "finished" or "perfect" by a long shot. But I didn't wanna miss out on SciFest!

If you have something--UPLOAD IT!

I totally agree man... I expected tons of entries. 49 still ain't bad, and I'm sure we'll see a few trickle in today and tomorrow. It'll shape up to be another great fest!:thumbsup:
 
Aint that the truth,

Lots of sleep lost but it's worth it I love this stuff. I do it all day and sleep with visions of technical schematics. And what ever you spent time on upload people. It will make it so much more of and interesting competition. Hows life in Cali Briceman, use to live out there and I moved to Chicago...the windy city. Video work for me out here is a little easier to obtian.

Hey man, California is great! I have the awesome privlege of working at a small production company in Lancaster, CA. We do mostly children's videos, but we just finished our first feature(it's kind of a mockumentary/comedy thing) and we're looking ahead at another type of family friendly feature film! I am lucky enough to have a day job that I love and that allows me use of equipment as well :) I have some friends that live out in Chicago, I visited them last summer. Cool city! Well, take it easy dude.
