T2i Upload problem

This is the second time it has happened to me. I shot something and when I went to upload the footage onto my computer, it wouldn't upload it. It has happened to me before once.

On the camera the video works fine. All the information to the video is still there too, I see no problems.

I was doing some random shooting while I was in Toronto, so its not that important but it may become an issue later. I shot several times that day, I uploaded all the clips onto my computer, all worked but one. Its not even showing the uploading bars. It just freezes up.

Anyone know whats wrong, or maybe something I did wrong?
Any ideas as to what to do?
 
I am using the cable that came with the camera. If that is what your asking.
Ive been just copying the video from the card and pasting it onto a folder on my computer. Never had a problem.
 
Maybe your USB on your system is taxed out. Try another port or remove other usb divices you have connected
 
I tried not only on my computer but other computers too, same problem.

Update:
I was able to borrow someones card reader. I tried uploading the footage from a card reader instead of the cable provided with the camera. It finally worked.
Anyone know why it works on the card reader but not with the cable?
