At the moment I own a DVX100A, but recently everytime I'm offered a film job it usually requires me to rent a hd camera instead of using my own (came to love the ex1 / ex3)... so hence I've decided to upgrade to a 7d next month. It is limiting me on what I can do but the price and and ability to shoot in shallow d.o.f. overtook me in the end
But just recently noticed the HMC150 and although I still yet to do my research on it, it does look very interesting.
My original plan was to buy a 7D and keep my DVX as back up camera (even though footage dont really mix that well together...)
But the advantage I see with the HMC is that its hd and that I can sell of my DVX as there wont be a need for it in this case.
Anybody got opinions on this? I know 7D and HMC are totally different cameras and each suit a different kind of shooting...
I'd be mainly shooting shows or events like car drifting, skateboarding (as well as occasionally a music vid or short film)
