Updated reel. Lots of FS100 footage.

Hey guys. I just updated my reel and thought I'd post it here since it contains a lot of FS100 footage. There is also some RED MX and EPIC footage along with some EX1, HVX200, 7D, and even a DVX100 shot. First person who names the DVX shot gets a cookie.

Some real nice gems in there. Great work as always. I love the shot & reverse of the girls walking into the club. No question from me, most of the shots are winners.

I can't get behind the music selection, but that's gonna be subject to taste I guess. The last reel had a real upbeat track, worked well with all your shots. I think you really got it right that time out.

The DVX shot? The dog? I know I'm probably wrong, but it's not full screen, so there's my guess.

3:20 is pretty long for a reel, I would do a cutdown, again, that's just my opinion.

Deepfocus, you nailed it!!! The dog shot was one of the first shots I ever took on my first camera, the DVX100. I still love the shot. I wish it was HD but whatever. Send me your address and i'll mail you a cookie. lol...

Duly noted on music. I did get a lot of good feedback on the music from the last one. If others have similar feedback, I may re-cut it to faster music. You mentioned cutting it down a bit, which I'm not opposed to. If you don't mind telling me, what are some of your least favorite shots? I'm polling here so anyone with an opinion, feel free to chime in.

Awesome, reel! Great footage. Was the crime drama-looking shots in the middle taken with the FS100 or a RED?

It doesn't take away from anything, but the music sounds like the band really liked In Rainbows and The Bends. Maybe it doesn't match your kick ass original footage.

OMG. LOL!!!! The last 2 I shot with him crowned the set. I'll spare you the details but let me just say Rancho Cucamonga 1:30AM call time. Yes, you read that right....

Thanks!! If you're talking about the outdoor stuff with guns, etc., that was actually shot on a 7D. It's the grade that makes that one cool. Believe me. I despise shooting on DSLRs...

Thanks for chiming in on the music. I'm a huge Jump Little Children fan. Maybe too much so... I'm getting closer and closer to changing it.

I was thinking OK computer. haha. Humor us and cut an alternate version to something with a beat!

Gavin, as for a cutdown, there's PLENTY from the film where the girl is getting assaulted/guy gets carted off. And maybe a bit too much of that 7D footage.

Back to the good, I love that Suziki shot around :53 And the money in the air, that looks great. Damn, you stay busy!
 
thanks for the tips. i just shot that film with the guy getting arrested last week so i'm probably a little too excited about it. i'm going to cut an alt version to something snappy.
 
Nice work.

00:28-00:33 and 00:44-00:53 don't do much for me. You could cut the sexual assault a bit shorter too. I think the dog has had his day.

Music works for me.....but what do I know I was only a DJ/producer for 15 years.
