I have a pretty much unheard of problem with importing P2 media. I´m working with FCP 5.1.4 and a PowerBook G4 1,67 ghz 2Gb ram and OS 10.4.9
So the problem. I have many copied P2 folders on my external hard drive, and 90% of them import fine in final cut, except for a couple that FCP wont recognize. In the P2 import window it just loads for a split second just like on normal working folders, but the n nothing appears in the window... no thumbnails no nothing. But in the folder everything is there, CONTENTS/lastclip.txt --> VIDEO,CLIP...etc.
You can see the ICON of the clips and all the XML and MXF data is there, but for some reason FCP just wont recognize them..it just ignores the sertain folders.
Pretty weird.
And if someone knows why 720p/25pN footage filmed in slowmotion 50 frames/sec stutters? Do you really need 4Gb ram or why is it?
here is a link for our snowboard video trailer, check it out:

Thank you very much if anyone has an answer for these!
