Havnt even thoughts of insurance, will go with them now :dankk2:

Yes, I suggest you think about it and sort it out pretty quick, if i wasnt insured when my house was burgled then Id be back to working in a supermarket. Its not covered under house insurance.

Another Brit to add to the collection, although i'm only just starting out. Just graduated from Oxford Brookes uni, but now living in London. If proposed meeting does go ahead count me in. Love to get some advice from some of the experienced members. [FONT=&quot]

I'm with Allan, Chapman, and James. Been with them for years. I've made 2 major claims over a ten year period and it's always been sorted out.

The policy I have covers equipment (rented or owned) globally and also whilst in the back of a locked vehicle. So those shoots where you can't be bothered to hump the kit back to your hotel room, just leave it in the vehicle and your covered.

I've just added 2x Arri True Blue 1K fresnels. They arrived this morning and have to say the build quality is brilliant.

A Brit here but living in France. Saying hello and getting to know a few crazy cats.

About to buy my first good camera (a DVX100be) and looking forward to using it.

Um, that's all for now.

Hi, ive been stalking this forum for awhile and have decided to sign up to pester all of you with questions :)

Im from North Wales in the UK, and have a degree in moving image. I have recently decided to try and start a business filming promotional / corporate videos and that kind of stuff.

Im shooting with a canon xm2 (GL2 in america), and use cs4 production premium suite. I dont have much in the way of other gear as being skint, it mean low budget all the way :D

Looking forward to getting to know you guys, and hope to help out where i can.

Hi all, I'm a UK dweller as well (Leamington Spa, Midlands).
If anyone feels the desire to organise a meet up I'd love to come along too...

UK Help HMC150

UK Help HMC150

I am considering buying the HMC150 from USA as it is much cheaper than the HMC151. Will the HMC150 function correctly in the UK. The camcorder is NSTC, does this affect record and playback. USA is 60Hz (UK is 50Hz), how does this affect the camcorder functions.
Sorry if this seems obvious, I am not that technically minded. Obviously if the HMC150 does not function correctly, it will have to be the HMC151.

How does buying the USa version (HMC150) affect the warranty.
